![]() | Jamie and Sarah make cemeteries their cathedrals and cities their tombs in the first of the new format Gorecasts.
This months theme is horror movies about horror movies. We will dissect three films over the coming weeks that contain explicit reference to the genre and to cinema in general, starting with Lamberto Bava's splatter soaked classic, Demons.
As always, send any and all feedback to podcast@gorepress.com for inclusion in the month end wrap up show.

![]() | Welcome to the latest episode of the all new Gorepress Gorecast! As part of the Movies About Movies Month, this week we look at the cult favourite, Popcorn.
Starring Jill Schoelen, Dee Wallace, Tom Villard, and a bunch of other people... Popcorn is the story of a girl who has recurring nightmares and then some people die during some screenings of some "classic" horror flicks.
We also stop the chat train for a brief chat about current cinema offering, Attack the Block, the first film by TV's Joe Cornish (from the Adam & Joe show, and 6music). We also talked briefly about our feelings on Scott Pilgrim.

![]() | Wooo! Welcome to our special Halloween episode!
We've been away for a while, but we're back with this very special episode of the Gorepress Gorecast just for you, dear listeners!
We're joined by Gorepress's design King, Matt, to discuss zom-com classic Return of the Living Dead.
Listen to us get progressively more drunk as we ramble about zombie flicks and express our limited knowledge of this most coveted of movies!
There are a couple of blips due to the recording device messing with our shit.
If you want to get in touch, whack us an email at podcast@gorepress.com with your thoughts.

| The New Gorepress Gorecast / New Nightmare Review | 1:15:16 | 128kbps | 44100 | 68.92 MB | |
![]() | Welcome to the slightly later than advertised (only seven months late) Gorepress Gorecast. We're back again to bore you with our tangential chatter and wrong opinions. Yay! We got together using the internet once again to waffle at you about the post-modern proto-Scream flick, Wes Craven's New Nightmare.
Starring your basic NoES cast, including Heather Langemkamp, Robert Englund and John Saxon. Has Freddy broken through to the real world to mess with the stars of a new Freddy film? Maybe!
We cover the film in some depth, but, of course, it wouldn't be us if we didn't stop to discuss trivialities including Scream 4, how scary witches may or may not be, Rob Zombie's Halloween films, and Tom Savini. It's a veritable smorgasbord of horror waffle.

![]() | This week Jamie and Sarah waffle (and we really mean it this time) about all the way through some news, reviews, and what they have been watching lately. It's probably the most boring show they've done.
No mention is made of the month (or more) past, and we're going to change that for next month. Basically, we're sorry.
Please forward all complaints to podcast@gorepress.com
If you can get all the way to the end, we'll give you all future episodes of the podcast for free.

![]() | Back once again, I bet you didn't believe we would actually record again! Actually that would imply anyone was listening, and we all know that ain't true, huh?
This week, as part of our Standalone Slasher Month, we cover 1981's seminal The Burning. Of course, it wouldn't be us if we didn't talk about other nonsense. So listen with glee as we look at the slasher rules, a Fisher Stevens retrospective, the perversion of Jews in Hollywood, Jamie's review of Laid To Rest, and much much more.
This is a take two. We managed to lose the original recording through technology hating us or whatever. The first version was actually pretty concise and interesting, this one? Not so much.

![]() | Hello once again, dear listeners!
This week, as part of out Standalone Slasher month, we take a look at Happy Birthday To Me; the 1981 kill-fest with a small, but strong, fan base. Stopping off along the way to discuss the new Shameless Four Flies on Grey Velvet dvd, Alvin and the Chipmunks, the naivete of IMDb reviewers and so much more.

As per usual, we jump from topic to topic like ADD addled youths. This week's off-topic nonsense includes Lovecraft movies, Jamie singing parts of the over-bearing score, the Lucky McKee movie May, and a new and exciting Asylum production!

![]() | So, with great podcasts come great responsibility. This is why we are so reckless when it comes to wrap up shows, I reckon.
On this weeks epsiode we attempt to examine the theory behind slasher flicks (we pretty much fail though), we take a look at some of the choice new releases hitting DVD stands in the coming weeks, Jamie talks smack about Laid to Rest, and we take a look at our one piece of show feedback. Sarah also finds a way to shatter Jamie's world with one simple sentence.
It's a rambly trip into the minds of two horror fans punctuated by Tom Waits and littered with inaccuracies. But that's why you love us, right?

| The New Gorepress Gorecast / 9. The Funhouse | 0:53:52 | 128kbps | 44100 | 49.33 MB | |
![]() | In the latest ear assault, Sarah and Jamie take some time to dissect and dismember 1981's The Funhouse as the first flick in this months Clowntown theme. Expect plenty of talk of ghost trains, dickhead characters, creepy clockwork toys, and squirmy moments alongside the usual trips down digression alley.
Hear the new Focus On feature that we will be including on all review shows from now on too. This week we take a look at the varied career of Tobe Hooper, director of The Funhouse and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Do our fearless hosts love his work or hate it? There is only one way to find out...

In this week's episode Jamie and Sarah take a good hard look at the 80s camp classic, Killer Klowns From Outer Space, as well as a cursory glance over the career of the men behind the movie, the Chiodo Brothers.
Killer Klowns is a much beloved film, but how do Sarah and Jamie feel about it? Only by listening to this episode of the Gorecast will you ever find out (if you can't guess). You will also find out what would happen if Africa was full of clowns, how to spell clown for ultimate creepy factor, why wooden eyes are no good for watching 3D films, Jamie's movie ideas, as well as Sarah's Killer Klown based alcoholism, along with much, much more.

![]() | This we take a look at the limpest turd in all of Clowntown, it's Carnival of Souls. A film so bad, Wes Craven's name couldn't even muster up any interest.
Have you ever wanted to hear just how angry we can get at a film? How would we manifest that anger? Would one of use descend into fits of giggles while the other rants solidly for four minutes? I mean, it might happen like that, you'll just have to listen.
With the wrap up show just around the corner, sling your clown based lists, recommendations, anecdotes, and jokes to podcast@gorepress.com. These can be email or mp3 format.
Until next week, keep not watching Carnival of Souls.

In this show we discuss our top 5 carnival horror films, alongside top 5 scariest movie clowns. Also much discussion about what we have been watching, Boy Meets World, our tribute to fallen Monkee Davy Jones, upcoming releases, and so much more.
We even get some voicemail feedback. Which is awesome. If you want to join in the feedback party, get it in to podcast@gorepress.com.

![]() | So, due to unforeseen punk rock and 4 Loko induced comas, Jamie was unable to record the show this week. Luckily for you, we had planned for this eventuality. Back in ROCKtober we recorded some sweet commentary tracks (well, one and a half... Long story) for such an eventuality. Actually Jamie was supposed to get it on the feed ages ago and just never got around to it.
I don't remember anything that we actually say during the commentary, but I'm sure it's amusing, informative, and handsome.
As always, feedback to podcast@gorepress.com.
Normal service to resume next week.

Will Jamie and Sarah give it the respect it deserves? Who is that third voice in the background? Why it's Rosie, of course. Rosie joins us to talk XTRO and mock Sarah.
We also take a look at some of the best British horror flicks from the decade that Jamie was born in (We covered Sarah's decade last week...) from Inseminoid to American Werewolf in London.
Don't forget: We want your feedback. Best British horror lists, recommendations, corrections, etc. If it pertains to horror born of this great nation known as Great Britain, then we want it. Send it over to podcast@gorepress.com.

Obviously, the show is rife with digression. But it's a tasty morsel of a show, scored with Lalo Schifrin's suite from The Amityville Horror. Played out by the American Werewolves track Die For Me.

First on the docket is 1988's Prison. Produced by Charles Band and directed by Renny Harlin, you would be forgiven for thinking this movie may be criminal but take 40 minutes to hear what Sarah and Dangerous Jamie think before shanking it in that yard.
Alongside our feature review, we also put Empire International's releases in front of the parole board to see if they are rehabilitated or if they deserve to be put in solitary confinement.

We also take a bit of time to talk about the Canadian cult TV show, Todd and the Book of Pure Evil. A show close to Sarah's heart that currently has fans lobbying for a third season after its unfortunate lack of renewal by the telly suits. As well as all of this, we flashback to a simpler time where the internet was just a twinkle in Bill Gates' ballbag and discuss the heyday of the Psychotronic Guide and TV shows like OUTthere.
